SeaComm Federal Credit Union was founded in 1963 by ten employees of the General Motors Corporation in Massena, New York. Each of the ten founders invested $5 to obtain a share in the credit union. In its over 50 years of operation, SeaComm FCU has expanded across Northern New York, with branches in Massena, Potsdam, Canton, Ogdensburg, Malone, and Plattsburgh. SeaComm FCU strives to be a leader in the financial sector, but also a leader in community engagement and philanthropy. The Credit Union wishes to honor a student who exhibits these qualities.

The Canton College Foundation is grateful for the support received from SeaComm Federal Credit Union for creating this scholarship.
