Simona Szafran Endowed Scholarship

The Simona Szafran Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a deserving SUNY Canton student in any year and any program at the college, with preference to a student enrolled in the Early Childhood Development Program.

Simona Szafran was a teacher of 1st and 2nd grade children at the Syracuse Hebrew Day School for many years. She strongly believed in the power of education to help all students have a brighter future, and dedicated herself to helping students be successful. She would have wanted to help any college student in need to pursue and complete a college degree.
