Myrna F. Thomas ’79 Endowed Scholarship
The Myrna F. Thomas ’79 Scholarship will be awarded to an entering or continuing student who demonstrates financial need. Myrna Thomas’ intent in creating this scholarship is to help SUNY Canton students discover their own passion for learning as she did when she was a student.
Myrna Thomas, a Plattsburgh native, graduated from SUNY Agricultural and Technical College in 1979 with an associate’s degree in mortuary science. This experience inspired Ms. Thomas’ love of the biological sciences and led her to Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the field. Ms. Thomas has enjoyed a successful career with several major pharmaceutical companies and presently with a manufacturer that fills and packages products for some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical and consumer products companies.
The Canton College Foundation is grateful for the support received from its alumni and friends for creating this scholarship.
